Nigeria’s Super Eagles have arrived in Guinea-Bissau ahead of their final 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against the Djurtus on Tuesday.
The Nigerian delegation touched down in Guinea-Bissau on Sunday as the team began preparations for the crucial Group L encounter, with the players and coaching crew now focused on completing the qualifying campaign on a positive note.
The trip comes after the Super Eagles secured a 2-1 comeback victory over Madagascar in their opening Group L qualifying match in Uyo on Friday.
Nigeria fell behind against the Barea but responded strongly, with debutants George Ilenikhena and Moses Usor scoring the goals that turned the game around and handed the three-time African champions maximum points.
The victory provided Eric Chelle’s side with an important early advantage in the qualification race, but attention has quickly shifted to Tuesday’s meeting with Guinea-Bissau.
