Patrick Vieira has praised Senegal’s attitude ahead of his first match as head coach against Mozambique in the AFCON 2027 qualifiers. Two days before the game, the Lions have started preparations in Maputo with a positive mindset.
Senegal kept the intensity low during the first group session as the players recovered from travel. Vieira described the workout as a warm-up before increasing the workload. Wednesday’s session will focus on physical, athletic, and tactical work as the team prepares for Mozambique.
Vieira also highlighted the players’ focus and happiness at reuniting with the national team. The coaching staff gave late arrivals an individual recovery program at the hotel, including stretching, pool exercises, and cycling. Vieira now wants all 27 players on the pitch for the final preparations.
