Kenya is fully committed to hosting AFCON 2027. In Nairobi, President William Ruto met with CAF President Patrice Motsepe to discuss preparations for the tournament.
Ruto assured the head of African football of his country’s determination to ensure the success of this edition, which is being co-hosted with Tanzania and Uganda.
During his visit, Motsepe also toured the Talanta Sports International Stadium and the Kasarani Stadium. He commended the progress made on the former and assessed the work still required on the latter.
Preparations are thus moving forward in Kenya, just months away from an AFCON tournament being jointly hosted by three East African nations for the first time.
