Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. GMT at Dire Dawa Stadium. For the Libyans, the goal will be to secure an advantage ahead of the second leg.
Al Ahli Tripoli heads into this match with confidence following its convincing run in the first round. The Libyan club eliminated KMKM of Zanzibar with two victories 3-0 in the first leg and 4-0 in the second leg scoring seven goals without conceding any.
This offensive efficiency is a major asset heading into this away match. On the other side, Welwalo Adigrat Uni intends to use its home-field advantage to hold off its opponent.
The Ethiopian team advanced from the first round after a hard-fought series against Al Hilal Port Sudan.
After a 2-1 loss in the first leg, they won 2-1 in the second leg before advancing on aggregate, according to available data.
Welwalo Adigrat will need to be solid defensively, while Al Ahli Tripoli will look to capitalize on its offensive strengths to come away with a favorable result. The second leg is scheduled for the following week in Libya.
