Algerian international Ahmed Touba secured a spot on the Team of the Week for the third round of the French Ligue 1 season, according to the lineup published by the French Football Federation.
The Le Havre defender was selected among the top 11 players of the round after delivering an outstanding performance despite his team’s 2–1 loss to Brest in the match held last Saturday.
Ahmed Touba started the match and played the entire game, displaying strong defensive presence and helping to neutralize Brest’s attack.
He received a rating of 7.84, as shown in the lineup pictured.
The Algerian defender thus continues to assert his strong presence with Le Havre since joining the team, having also started in the second round against Olympique Lyonnais.
The 28-year-old is looking to return to the Algerian national team and reclaim his starting spot, especially following Aissa Mandi’s retirement from international play.
It is worth noting that Ahmed Touba has been absent from the Les Verts since the September 2025 training camp, where he came on as a substitute in the World Cup qualifier against Botswana.
