South African Premier Soccer League club AmaZulu FC have announced a strategic partnership with Spanish La Liga outfit Levante UD, aimed at strengthening youth development, talent identification and international player pathways.
The agreement represents a major step in AmaZulu’s long-term plan to develop young footballers and create opportunities for emerging talent to gain exposure to international football structures.
Under the partnership, AmaZulu’s youth development programmes will collaborate with Levante UD’s technical and scouting structures, allowing both clubs to share expertise and identify promising players.
The collaboration will focus on youth development, talent scouting, player monitoring and pathways to professional football, with AmaZulu seeking to strengthen its pipeline of young players capable of contributing to the club’s future ambitions.
For AmaZulu, the partnership forms part of the club’s broader Vision 2032 strategy championed by President Sandile Zungu, CEO Sinenjabulo Zungu-Ntuli and the Football Department.
The agreement is also expected to give Levante UD greater access to AmaZulu’s youth structures and the wider South African and African football talent pool.
According to Marcos Maisano, CEO and founder of ISAM360 Scholarships, the partnership will provide Levante with an opportunity to expand its scouting reach and monitor emerging talent across South Africa and the broader African football landscape.
The two clubs are expected to work together to establish sustainable development structures while creating clearer pathways for talented young footballers seeking opportunities at a higher level.
AmaZulu said the partnership reinforces its commitment to producing quality players and building international relationships that can support the club’s ambitions beyond South African football.
The collaboration with Levante UD is therefore positioned as part of AmaZulu’s longer-term strategy to develop talent, strengthen its youth system and create international opportunities for the next generation of South African and African footballers.
