Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan has taken up a new role within the Black Stars set-up, joining the national team’s backroom staff as Clubs and Player Relations Manager.
The former Black Stars captain and all-time leading goalscorer will be responsible for strengthening communication and relationships between the national team, clubs and players.
Gyan’s appointment adds his experience from a distinguished international career to the Black Stars’ management structure. He remains one of Ghana’s most decorated players, having scored 51 goals for the national team.
The new role will see the former striker contribute off the pitch as Ghana continues to strengthen its organisational structure around the senior national team.
