With the World Cup opener approaching, Nayef Aguerd returned to training with Morocco on Sunday after recovering from injury.
The center back participated in drills led by Mohamed Ouahbi’s coaching staff as part of Morocco’s ongoing World Cup preparations.
His presence is a significant boost for a team that relies on his experience and leadership in defense.
This session was also marked by the arrival of Ali Maamar. The Anderlecht right back, who recently won the World Cup with Morocco’s U20 team, temporarily joined the squad before returning to the U21s after the friendly match against Madagascar.
The coaching staff is continuing its program focused on physical intensity, tactical discipline, and building collective strength.
The goal is to ensure the players are in peak condition for the tournament.
The Atlas Lions will face Madagascar on June 2 in Rabat before a second warm-up match against Norway on June 7.
Morocco will then kick off its World Cup campaign on June 13 against Brazil, before facing Scotland and then Haiti in Group C.
