The Jordan Football Association has appointed Moroccan coach Badou Zaki as head coach on a one-year deal, replacing Jamal Sellami.
Zaki’s signing is part of the Jordanian national team’s preparations for upcoming competitions, notably the 2027 Asian Cup finals to be held in Saudi Arabia, where the federation is counting on the Moroccan coach’s experience to build on the positive results achieved by Al-Nashama in recent years.
Zaki has a remarkable coaching record, most notably having led the Moroccan national team to the final of the 2004 Africa Cup of Nations, in addition to having coached a number of Arab and African clubs and national teams.
With Zaki’s appointment, the Jordanian Football Association continues to draw on the Moroccan coaching tradition, as he becomes the third Moroccan coach to lead Al-Nashama in recent years, following Hussein Ammouta and Jamal Sellami.
