Ghana’s Black Maidens have departed Accra for Yamoussoukro ahead of the WAFU B U17 Girls Cup, with the team travelling with a 20-player squad.
The tournament is scheduled to kick off on Wednesday, September 16, with Ghana preparing to begin the defence of their title.
The Black Maidens are the record winners of the competition and will be determined to retain their crown as they begin another regional campaign.
The team is expected to commence training soon after arriving in Yamoussoukro as preparations intensify for their opening fixture.
