The match provided an exciting curtain-raiser ahead of the ๐๐๐จ๐ง๐ ๐๐จ๐๐ค ๐๐ซ๐๐ฆ๐ข๐๐ซ ๐๐๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐๐๐๐โ๐๐ season, bringing two of Sierra Leoneโs biggest clubs together in front of a packed Southern Arena.
Bo Rangers made a dream start when Abdul Bangura opened the scoring in the 2nd minute, giving the home side an early advantage. East End Lions fought back strongly and were rewarded in the 84th minute, when Alie Conteh found the equaliser to set up a dramatic finish.
Just when the match appeared destined for a penalty shootout with only four added minutes left, Abdul Bangura struck again in the 90+2nd minute, scoring his second goal of the night and sealing a memorable 2โ1 victory for Bo Rangers.
The Southern Arena was filled to capacity as supporters from both clubs created a vibrant atmosphere throughout the final.
The match was witnessed by SLFA President Babadi Kamara and members of the SLFA Executive Committee, alongside the Chief Minister of the Republic of Sierra Leone Dr. David Moinina Sengeh and National Sports Authority Executive Director Mohamed Alphaka Conteh.
