Brighton & Hove Albion have rejected a second transfer offer from Liverpool for Gambian winger Yankuba Minteh, with the latest proposal reportedly worth £60 million.
Brighton have turned down the offer as they continue to value the 22-year-old closer to £70 million.
Liverpool are understood to be keen on strengthening their attacking options, with Minteh emerging as a key target. However, the Seagulls’ valuation could prove to be a significant hurdle in negotiations.
Minteh is currently sidelined for an estimated two to three months after undergoing surgery on his right leg, adding another layer of uncertainty to any potential transfer.
Brighton’s rejection means Liverpool would likely have to increase their offer significantly if they are to convince the club to part ways with the Gambian winger.
