CAF Invites Referee Reginald Collins Amoah for U-17 AFCON 2026 Preparatory Course

Ghanaian referee Reginald Collins Amoah has earned a significant continental nod after receiving an invitation from the Confederation of African Football to participate in the pre-tournament training course ahead of the TotalEnergies U-17 Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2026.

The course is scheduled to run from May 7 to 13 in Morocco and will bring together a select group of referees and assistant referees identified as potential officials for the tournament. The program is designed to fine-tune officiating standards, enhance decision-making consistency, and align participants with CAF’s latest technical directives.

Amoah’s inclusion underscores growing recognition of Ghanaian officiating on the continental stage, reflecting confidence in his performances and professionalism. The training camp will cover key aspects such as match management, VAR protocols where applicable, fitness assessments, and practical on-field simulations.

Successful completion of the course is expected to position Amoah among the officials shortlisted to handle matches at the tournament, one of Africa’s premier youth competitions and a key platform for emerging football talent.

His invitation not only marks a personal milestone but also highlights Ghana’s continued contribution to elite refereeing within African football.
