TP Mazembe are preparing to lodge a formal complaint with the Confederation of African Football (CAF) after alleging that Club Africain supporters disrupted their rest at their hotel in Tunis around midnight.
The Congolese giants claim that firecrackers and fireworks were set off outside their hotel while players and members of the technical staff were sleeping, creating a disturbance that prevented the team from getting adequate rest.
According to the club, the incident caused chaos around the hotel at a crucial time as the team prepares for its continental assignment. The alleged disturbance has raised concerns over the team’s security and the conditions surrounding their stay in the Tunisian capital.
TP Mazembe intend to submit an official complaint to CAF, seeking the governing body’s attention to the incident. The complaint could prompt further scrutiny of the security arrangements and the treatment of visiting teams during continental competitions.
As of now, no official response from Club Africain or CAF has been provided regarding the allegations.
