Zambian champions Power Dynamos have been drawn against Sudanese giants Al Merreikh in the preliminary round of the 2026-27 CAF Champions League.
According to the draws conducted today, Power Dynamos will be away to Al Merreikh on the window of 4-6 September before hosting their opponents a week later.
Winner over two legs will face either JS Saoura or Horoya FC in the pre-group stage of Africa’s premier competition on the window of 16-18 October with the return leg on 23-25 October. Power Dynamos had an impressive run in last year’s CAF Champion’s League where they reached the group stage.
Red Arrows to face Rouge FC of Madagascar
Meanwhile, Zambian club Red Arrows will face Rouge FC of Madagascar in the first preliminary round of the 2026 CAF Confederation Cup.
According to the latest draws conducted today, the airmen will host the Malagasy side on the window of 4-6 September before traveling away for the 11-13 September fixture. Winner over two legs will face Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa in the second preliminary round.
The second preliminary round fixtures have been set for 16-18 October for the first leg while the return leg will be from 23-25 October. Zambian champions Power Dynamos will await their opponents in the CAF Champions League brackets expected later.
