The Association of Amateur Football Clubs of Cameroon (ACFAC), led by Abdouraman Hamadou Babba, has asked the Special Criminal Court (TCS) to investigate the financial management of four Indomitable Lions friendlies. The move adds a new legal chapter to the ongoing dispute surrounding FECAFOOT.
ACFAC has focused on Cameroon’s matches against Uzbekistan and South Korea in 2022, as well as Mexico and Russia in 2023. The association says it submitted the contracts for those games and documents linked to funding requests that FECAFOOT made to the Cameroonian state. ACFAC says it suspects possible financial misconduct, but the court has yet to establish any wrongdoing.
Abdouraman Hamadou Babba says this complaint represents only the first step. ACFAC plans to send its member clubs to ordinary courts in a separate procedure concerning FECAFOOT funds.
The latest move now puts the federation’s handling of money from international matches under increased judicial scrutiny, while the authorities must determine what action, if any, follows from the complaint.
