Christian N’Sengi-Biembe has been appointed as the new head coach of South Sudan’s senior national team, the Bright Stars, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the country’s football development.
The Belgian-Congolese coach has signed a one-year contract with the South Sudan Football Association, with an option to extend his stay beyond the initial agreement.
N’Sengi-Biembe will take charge of the senior national team as South Sudan looks to strengthen its competitive standing on the international stage and build a more consistent footballing structure.
In addition to his responsibilities with the Bright Stars, the coach will serve as a technical consultant for South Sudan’s youth national teams. His expanded role is expected to help create a stronger link between the country’s youth programmes and the senior side.
The appointment reflects South Sudan’s ambition to develop its national teams through improved technical leadership and a more coordinated approach to player development.
N’Sengi-Biembe now faces the task of laying the foundations for a new era with the Bright Stars, with his experience expected to play a key role in shaping the team’s future.
