Senegalese forward Bamba Dieng has confirmed he will leave FC Lorient at the end of his contract, bringing an emotional close to a three-year spell with the French side.
The 26-year-old, whose deal expires on June 30, announced his decision in a heartfelt message shared on social media, drawing the curtain on a chapter he described as deeply meaningful both professionally and personally.
“To the entire FC Lorient family,” Dieng wrote. “After some wonderful years at the club, the time has come for me to turn an important page in my career.”
He extended gratitude across the board, acknowledging the club’s hierarchy, technical staff, teammates, and supporters for their unwavering support during his time with Les Merlus.
“Wearing this jersey has been an honor,” he added. “I will cherish the wonderful memories of all the moments I’ve experienced here.”
