Tzolis remained a constant threat for Arsenal and was rewarded when he won a penalty, allowing Gyokeres to convert from the spot and reduce the deficit to 3-2.
The match ended with Dortmund taking the Emirates Cup trophy, although Arsenal had the consolation of winning the post-match penalty shootout 5-4 after successfully converting all their attempts.
Arsenalโs attention now turns to the Community Shield, where they will face Manchester City at Wembley next weekend.
