DRC: FECOFA turns a new page after standardization

The Normalization Committee (CONOR) officially concluded its mandate at the helm of the Congolese Football Association on Wednesday, April 15.

Established by FIFA in April 2023 to stabilize the organization, this interim committee led successively by Dieudonne Sambi and Belinda Luntadila is now stepping down.

During this transition phase, day-to-day management of the federation has been entrusted to Secretary General Lily Tshimpumpu.

Her primary task will be to ensure administrative continuity and oversee the smooth running of the federation’s affairs over the coming weeks.

The Congolese soccer community is now looking ahead to May 20, the date set for the election of the new executive committee.

This election will mark the definitive return to elected governance, thus bringing to an end a two-year period of administration under the supervision of international bodies.
