Power Dynamos Football Club wishes to announce the departure of striker Moses Shumah and midfielder Brian Masanyinga from the Club.
Shumah has completed a transfer to South African Premier Soccer League (PSL) side AmaZulu FC after the Club reached an agreement with the Durban-based outfit. Although he had a year remaining on his contract, the striker has opted to join the South African outfit.
Shumah joined Power Dynamos from Kakamega Homeboyz in July last year and enjoyed a breakthrough season at Arthur Davies Stadium, winning the MTN Super League Golden Boot after scoring 21 goals. He departs the Club having scored 23 goals in all competitions during his time with Power Dynamos.
Meanwhile, Masanyinga leaves Power Dynamos after securing an opportunity to join the Zambia Police Service. A dedicated member of the Club, Masanyinga leaves with the appreciation and best wishes of the entire Power Dynamos family as he embarks on a new career path.
Commenting on the departures, Power Dynamos Chief Executive Officer Gibson Chaloba thanked the players for their contribution to the Club.
“Both Moses and Brian have represented Power Dynamos with pride and commitment, and we thank them for everything they have done for the Club.
“Moses had an excellent season for us and his goals were a major reason for our success. He worked hard, remained focused and has earned this opportunity to take the next step in his career. We are happy for him and wish him all the best in South Africa.
“Brian always gave his best whenever called upon and conducted himself professionally throughout his time at the Club. While we are sad to see him leave, we are pleased that he has secured an opportunity with the Zambia Police Service and we wish him success in his new role.
“They both leave with our thanks and appreciation, and they will always be welcome at Power Dynamos,” Chaloba said.
The Club remains committed to building a competitive squad as preparations continue for the upcoming season and its continental assignments.
