Former Ghana international Michael Essien has described the Ghana national football team’s World Cup group as a difficult one, but insists the team has what it takes to progress if they approach each game with focus and determination.
Essien acknowledged the challenge ahead but emphasized that tough fixtures are an inevitable part of tournament football. According to him, success will depend on how the Black Stars manage each match situation.
“That’s a tough group. But there are always tough games to play, and it’s up to you to win them,” Essien said, urging the players to remain mentally strong throughout the competition.
The former midfielder further advised the squad to adopt a game-by-game approach, noting that consistency and resilience will be crucial. “They should take every game as it comes and do their best. It’s a tournament; anything can happen,” he added.
