Warri Wolves have stepped up preparations for their rescheduled Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) fixture against Rivers United, completing their final training session ahead of Wednesday’s encounter in Port Harcourt.
The Seasiders held their last training session on Tuesday at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, the venue for the match, as Head Coach Hassan Abdallah and his technical team worked on final tactical adjustments.
According to the club’s media team, the session provided an opportunity for the players to sharpen their preparations and put the finishing touches to their plans for the important league fixture.

After the training, Coach Abdallah urged his players to remain confident and focused, stressing the importance of a positive mentality, determination and discipline when they face the Port Harcourt-based side.
The coach’s call followed an earlier charge from Warri Wolves Chairman, Neveil Ambakaderemor, who challenged the players to give their maximum effort and fight for all three points against Rivers United.
The Seasiders will enter the contest with positive memories from their previous meeting with Rivers United. On April 5, 2026, Warri Wolves defeated the Pride of Rivers 2-0.
Igbunnu Evwierhurhoma put Warri Wolves ahead from the penalty spot before Othuke Egbo completed the victory with a stoppage-time goal.
That result could provide an additional psychological boost for the visitors as they return to the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium for the rescheduled fixture.
Warri Wolves will now look to translate their final preparations into a strong performance as they continue their 2026/2027 NPFL campaign.
For Rivers United, the encounter offers an opportunity to respond on home soil, setting the stage for another competitive meeting between two familiar NPFL opponents.
