Moroccan winger Abdessamad Ezzalzouli delivered a standout performance as Real Betis came from behind to secure a thrilling 3–2 victory over Girona FC in their La Liga clash.
Girona struck early through Viktor Tsygankov, who opened the scoring in the 7th minute to give the hosts a dream start. Betis responded with composure, leveling in the 23rd minute via Marc Roca after a well-worked move.
The game turned decisively in the second half, with Ezzalzouli at the heart of Betis’ attacking surge. The Moroccan international set up the go-ahead goal in the 63rd minute, after providing a precise assist for the first goal—demonstrating sharp movement and clinical execution. His influence didn’t stop there; he later assisted again in the 80th minute, teeing up Rodri Sánchez to seal the win.
Girona briefly reignited hope when Azzedine Ounahi converted a penalty in the 68th minute, but Betis held firm under late pressure to claim all three points.
Ezzalzouli’s two direct goal contributions underlined his growing importance in Manuel Pellegrini’s setup, combining flair, pace, and end product. On a night of attacking football, it was the Moroccan winger’s decisive impact that ultimately separated the sides.
