FIFA U-17 WWC; North Korea Thrash Puerto Rico 6-0 in Ruthless Six-Goal Masterclass

North Korea women national team delivered a devastating attacking performance dismantling Puerto Rico 6-0 in a one-sided encounter that showcased their clinical finishing and overwhelming superiority.

North Korea set the tone from the opening minutes, taking the lead in the sixth minute when Yu Jong-Hyang converted an assist from Ri Ye-Rim.

The pressure continued as Ri Ui-Gyong doubled the advantage in the 19th minute before Kim Won-Sim struck in the 34th minute to put North Korea firmly in control.

Yu Jong-Hyang then completed her brace in the 38th minute, finishing off a pass from Ri Kyong-Im to extend the lead to 4-0.

North Korea added a fifth goal in first-half stoppage time, with Ri Ye-Rim finding the net after being set up by Yu Jong-Hyang in the 45+1st minute. The goal capped a remarkable first-half display in which the North Koreans repeatedly breached the Puero Ricans defence.

A VAR review followed shortly afterwards in the 45+2nd minute, but Puerto Rico remained unable to mount a meaningful response against their rampant opponents.

North Korea resumed the second half with the same attacking intent, and Kim Won-Sim completed her brace in the 50th minute to make it 6-0, putting the result beyond any doubt.

With a commanding six-goal cushion, North Korea managed the remainder of the contest comfortably, preserving their clean sheet and sealing an emphatic victory.

The comprehensive triumph was built on early aggression, efficient finishing and contributions from multiple players, while Yu Jong-Hyang and Kim Won-Sim stood out with two goals apiece.

Puerto Rico, meanwhile, endured a difficult afternoon, struggling to contain North Korea’s attacking threat throughout the encounter.

North Korea’s 6-0 victory was a statement performance, underlining their offensive firepower and ability to turn dominance into goals.
