Zambia Under-17 Women National Team coach Carol Kanyemba has summoned a 35-member provisional squad for next month’s Morocco FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2026.
Kanyemba’s lasses will enter a long-haul camp this weekend that will culminate into the pre-tournament international camp.
Prior to the final local camp, FAZ has afforded the Copper Princesses regular weekly camps that gave the technical bench a chance to comb for talent across the country. From the 35 lasses in the provisional squad, there is room for the quartet of Taonga Mubanga, Esther Ngabwe, Grace Phiri and Beatrice Njobvu who were part of the last FIFA World Cup in Morocco.
Zambia is one of the five African teams of the 24-member tournament. The Copper Princesses are in Group D alongside Japan, France and Venezuela.
Zambia will open its account on 18 October against Japan before playing Venezuela three days later. The final group game will be against France on Independence Day against France. Kanyemba has famously qualified the Copper Princesses to three consecutive under-17 FIFA World Cups in 2024, 2025 and 2026.
The tournament will run from 17 October to 7 November.
