FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup: Falconets Draw Spain, China, and New Caledonia in Group F

Nigeria’s U-20 women’s national team, the Falconets, have been handed a challenging but exciting group for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland, where they will battle three strong opponents in Group F.

The Nigerian girls will face former champions Spain, Asian powerhouse China, and debutants New Caledonia in what promises to be a highly competitive group stage.

The draw sets up a stern test for the Falconets, who will be aiming to progress deep into the tournament and continue Nigeria’s proud tradition on the global women’s football stage.

Spain are widely regarded as one of the favourites, while China bring vast experience at youth level competitions.

New Caledonia, meanwhile, will be looking to make history on their World Cup debut. For Nigeria, the group offers both a major challenge and a big opportunity to announce themselves once again among the world’s elite youth teams.

The Falconets will now shift focus to final preparations as they look to fly the nation’s flag high in Poland.
