The Senegalese Football Federation is preparing for a major administrative shift, with plans underway to move its headquarters from Liberté 6 Extension to Cité Keur Gorgui in Dakar.
The federation will take up residence in a twelve story building owned by Sadio Mané, one of the country’s most influential sporting figures, in what officials describe as a strategic and cost free arrangement.
The announcement was made on Saturday by FSF third vice president Pape Sidy Lô during the Ordinary General Assembly of the Dakar League, where he outlined the details of the upcoming relocation.
He revealed that Mané personally offered the facility to support the federation’s operations, framing it as a gesture aimed at strengthening football administration in Senegal.
“He expressed his willingness to make this project available,” Lô said, adding that the move would not place any financial burden on the federation. “It’s a (financial) arrangement that was done intelligently.”
The decision marks a significant moment for Senegalese football governance, aligning the federation more closely with modern infrastructure while also highlighting the continued off field influence of Mané, who remains a central figure in the nation’s sporting landscape.
The relocation is expected to improve working conditions and operational efficiency at the FSF, as it seeks to further develop football structures across all levels of the game.
