The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has begun exploring alternative options for the Black Stars head coach position after negotiations with current manager Carlos Queiroz stalled.
GFA Executive Council Member Nana Oduro Sarfo has confirmed that the association is actively engaging other coaches as it assesses its options ahead of Ghana’s next international assignments.
The development raises fresh uncertainty over Queiroz’s future with the Black Stars, with talks between the Portuguese coach and the GFA yet to produce an agreement.
Queiroz took charge of Ghana with the mandate of guiding the team through a crucial period, including preparations for the 2026 FIFA world cup. However, the stalled negotiations have prompted the GFA to consider other candidates should an agreement with the former Real Madrid and Portugal coach not be reached.
The GFA is now expected to weigh its options carefully as it seeks to appoint a coach capable of leading the Black Stars into the next phase of their international campaign.
