GHANA: Yaw Ampofo Ankrah Breaks Silence on NSA Dismissal

Former National Sports Authority (NSA) Director-General Yaw Ampofo Ankrah has expressed disappointment following his dismissal, saying he remains calm despite feeling that his side of the matter has not been heard.

Speaking after his removal from office, Ampofo Ankrah said he was particularly disappointed that there had been no opportunity for a discussion to establish the facts surrounding the situation.

“I’m still calm, but a bit disappointed. I’m not one to rant or rage. I’m disappointed that I haven’t been heard. It is disappointing that we haven’t been able to have a discussion about exactly what the situation is,” he said.

Ampofo Ankrah’s comments mark his first public reaction to his dismissal, with the former NSA boss maintaining a composed stance while expressing concerns about the process that led to his removal.
