Ghanaian players shine across Europe and beyond in strong weekend

Ghanaian footballers enjoyed a productive weekend across Europe and beyond, with several players finding the net or making significant contributions for their respective clubs.

Augustine Boakye continued his goalscoring form for Saint-Étienne despite their defeat, while Inaki Williams opened his La Liga account for the season with a goal for Athletic Bilbao.

Kelvin Boateng also impressed for Austria Vienna, scoring and providing an assist in their victory. Ronald Donkor was another Ghanaian on target, scoring the winning goal for the New York Red Bulls.

Ibrahim Jabir and Ibrahim Mustapha found the net in Estonia and Serbia respectively, while Baba Musa scored for Skenderbeu Korça in their 1–1 draw against KF Tirana.

Jordan Ayew made his Sheffield United debut after coming off the bench in their 1–0 defeat to Wolves. Abdul Fatawu Issahaku played an influential role in Ipswich Town’s 3–2 victory over Crystal Palace, while Antoine Semenyo was involved in Manchester City’s 1–0 derby win over Manchester United.

Kwame Poku also featured for 82 minutes as QPR drew 1–1 with West Brom, rounding off another encouraging weekend for Ghanaian players abroad.
