Aduana FC came from behind to secure a 2-1 victory over Swedru All Blacks FC in a thrilling Ghana Premier League encounter in Dormaa.
Swedru All Blacks made a flying start to the game, taking the lead as early as the fourth minute through William Danquah, who put the visitors 1-0 ahead.
Aduana responded strongly and eventually restored parity in the 36th minute when Stephen Amankona found the back of the net to make it 1-1 heading into the break.
The second half remained tightly contested as both sides searched for the decisive goal.
Aduana were eventually handed the opportunity to complete the comeback when they were awarded a penalty in the 85th minute. Amankona stepped up and calmly converted from the spot to put the home side 2-1 ahead.
Swedru All Blacks were unable to find a late equaliser as Aduana held on to claim all three points.
Amankona’s second goal of the afternoon proved decisive, completing Aduana’s comeback after the hosts had fallen behind inside the opening five minutes.
