GPL : Techiman Eleven Wonders Hit With Transfer Ban Over Unpaid Player Dues

Techiman Eleven Wonders FC have been handed a transfer ban covering both domestic and international activity after failing to comply with directives issued by the Ghana Football Association.

The sanction follows the club’s inability to settle outstanding payments owed to Moses Afriyie, despite multiple rulings by the GFA’s Players’ Status Committee and Disciplinary Committee.

According to sources within the GFA, Eleven Wonders failed to meet stipulated deadlines even after being granted extensions and receiving formal warnings in line with Article 15 of the Disciplinary Code. The continued non-compliance ultimately triggered the enforcement of the transfer restriction.

The ban prevents the club from registering new players both locally and internationally, a move that could significantly impact their squad planning and competitiveness.

Authorities have made it clear that the sanction will remain in place until the club fully settles the amount owed to Afriyie, reinforcing the GFA’s commitment to enforcing contractual obligations and protecting player rights within Ghanaian football.

The development adds to ongoing concerns about financial discipline among some clubs, with the GFA expected to maintain a firm stance on compliance moving forward.
