Kenya have announced their final squad for the opening rounds of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, with the Harambee Stars set to face Eritrea 🇪🇷 and Guinea 🇬🇳.

The squad features a blend of locally based players and professionals plying their trade abroad, as Kenya begin their campaign for a place at the continental tournament.

Experienced forward Michael Olunga, who plays for Al-Arabi, headlines the attacking options alongside Gor Mahia’s Sharif Musa and Ben Stanley, while Job Ochieng of Real Sociedad and Ryan Ogam of RFC Liège are also included.

In midfield, Kenya have named Manzur Okwaro of Stade Reims, Timothy Ouma of Charlton Athletic, Tusker’s Chris Erambo, Yanga midfielder Duke Abuyah and Power Dynamos’ Marvin Nabwire.

The defensive unit includes Michael Kibagwe, Rooney Onyango, Hannif Wesonga, Stanley Wilson, Abud Omar, Amos Wanjala, Frank Odhiambo and Vincent Harper, with the goalkeeping department comprising Byrne Omondi, Faruk Shikhalo and Brian Bwire.

The Harambee Stars will now turn their attention to their opening qualifying fixtures against Eritrea and Guinea as they begin their journey towards AFCON 2027, which will be hosted jointly by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
