Hervé Renard officially resigns as Tunisia coach!

Hervé Renard has officially stepped down as head coach of Tunisia, just one week after the Carthage Eagles exited the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The French manager announced his decision on Saturday through a message on Instagram, bringing his short spell with the Tunisian national team to an end.

Renard thanked the Tunisian Football Federation for giving him the opportunity to lead the team at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He described the experience as an honor and expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported him throughout his time in charge. He also wished the Tunisian national team every success in the future, saying he believes it will continue to progress and create more memorable moments for its supporters.

“Before leaving, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the FTF for allowing me to participate in the 2026 World Cup […] I wish this Tunisian team all the best for the future. I am convinced that it will continue to grow, to thrill an entire nation, and to write beautiful chapters in its history” he wrote.

Renard concluded his message by confirming that his adventure with Tunisia had come to an end. Meanwhile, speculation about his next destination has already intensified, with several reports linking the former Morocco and Saudi Arabia coach to a possible return to Algeria.
