Ibrahim Maza believes Algeria can shine at the World Cup 2026

Ibrahim Maza has expressed strong confidence in the future of Algeria national football team ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026. Speaking after Bayer Leverkusen’s defeat against Stuttgart, the young attacking midfielder insisted that the Fennecs now possess the quality and ambition needed to compete with the world’s biggest football nations.

The 20-year-old also praised coach Vladimir Petković for the work accomplished since taking charge of the Algerian national team.

Despite his growing excitement for the World Cup, Ibrahim Maza remains fully focused on helping Bayer Leverkusen secure qualification for the UEFA Champions League. The midfielder also called on Algerian supporters to strongly support the national team during the upcoming friendly match against Netherlands national football team in June, as Algeria continues its preparations for the FIFA World Cup 2026 with growing optimism.
