Senegal international Iliman Ndiaye has expressed his excitement after reaching a major milestone in his career, insisting that his focus will be on helping his team achieve success rather than pursuing individual targets.
Ndiaye said he was delighted to begin the next chapter of his career, describing the opportunity as an “unbelievable moment” after years of hard work.
“I’m super excited to start. It’s an unbelievable moment. I’ve worked so hard to get to this point and I’m super excited and really grateful for this opportunity,” Ndiaye said.
The forward acknowledged that every player has personal ambitions, but stressed that collective success must remain the priority.
According to Ndiaye, individual achievements are more likely to follow when players commit themselves fully to the interests of the team.
“Wherever you are, you want to win games and trophies,” he said. “You have your solo targets as well but most importantly, it’s the team target.”
Ndiaye believes maintaining the right mentality and working hard for his teammates and supporters will ultimately help him achieve his personal objectives.
“When you think about the team, if you work hard, it will come naturally. If you have the mindset to do it for the team and the fans, then the targets will come by itself,” he added.
The Senegalese star will now look to translate his enthusiasm into performances on the pitch as he begins an important new chapter, with winning trophies and contributing to the team’s ambitions firmly at the heart of his priorities.
