Katsina United Cruise Past El-Kanemi Warriors 2-0 in NPFL Super 6 Preseason Tournament

Katsina United produced a commanding performance at the NPFL Super 6 preseason invitational tournament, defeating El-Kanemi Warriors 2-0 in a convincing outing.

Abdulrahman Garba was the difference between the two sides, scoring both goals as Katsina United secured a comfortable victory.

Garba opened the scoring in the 14th minute, giving Katsina United an early advantage and putting El-Kanemi Warriors on the back foot.

The forward struck again in the 27th minute to double Katsina United’s lead and complete his brace before the half-hour mark.

El-Kanemi Warriors struggled to find a response as Katsina United maintained their advantage and went into the interval with a two-goal cushion.

The second half saw Katsina United protect their lead effectively, while El-Kanemi Warriors were unable to find a way past the Katsina defence.

Despite their efforts to reduce the deficit, El-Kanemi Warriors could not break through, with Katsina United holding on to claim a 2-0 victory at the final whistle.

The result gives Katsina United an important boost as preparations intensify ahead of the new Nigeria Premier Football League season.

Garba’s two-goal display was the major highlight of the encounter, with his first-half finishing ultimately settling the contest.

Katsina United will now look to build on the result in their remaining preseason fixtures, while El-Kanemi Warriors will seek to improve their attacking output and defensive organisation before the start of the league campaign.
