Königsdörffer Earns Black Stars Call-Up After Williams and Thomas-Asante withdrawal.

Hamburger SV forward Ransford Yeboah Königsdörffer has received a late call-up to the Black Stars camp following the withdrawal of Iñaki Williams and Brandon Thomas-Asante due to injuries sustained in their respective league matches.

Thomas-Asante was in action for Coventry City during their convincing 3-0 victory over Swansea City, but his outing was cut short in the 62nd minute after he picked up a knock, with Josh Eccles coming on as his replacement in that game.

Meanwhile, Williams completed the full 90 minutes for Athletic Bilbao in their win against Real Betis. However, post-match medical examinations revealed that the forward had also sustained a knock, ruling him out of the trip to Vienna.

The injuries to two key attacking options have opened the door for Königsdörffer, who now joins the squad as preparations intensify ahead of the upcoming international fixture. His inclusion offers the technical team an alternative attacking threat as the Black Stars adjust to the late changes within the squad.
