Lamine Yamal reveals the surprising story behind his bandage

Lamine Yamal finally explained why he often wears a bandage on his hand during FC Barcelona and Spain matches. The young winger shared the unexpected story on his YouTube channel and admitted that the habit started after an accident while playing video games at home.

The 18-year-old Barça star revealed that he punched his television during a PlayStation session. After injuring his hand, he started wearing a bandage and quickly liked the look. Lamine Yamal even joked that the accessory made him feel like Karim Benzema. Since then, the bandage has become part of his image on the pitch.

“While playing on the PlayStation, I punched the TV. From then on, I bandaged my hand and it looked great, like I was Karim Benzema,” he recounted humorously on his YouTube channel.

Several FC Barcelona players, including Robert Lewandowski, Gavi, and Raphinha, have also worn hand bandages in recent seasons. However, Lamine Yamal’s explanation surprised many fans and once again highlighted the spontaneous personality of one of world football’s brightest young talents.
