Lyon makes a strong move for Mohamed Ouedraogo

Having qualified for the Champions League playoffs after finishing fourth in Ligue 1, Olympique Lyonnais is actively pursuing new signings.

Lyon officials are reportedly very close to finalizing the signing of Mohamed Ouedraogo.

The 23-year-old Burkinabe defender plays for SCR Altach in the Austrian first division. After several seasons of steady improvement, he has just had the most successful season of his career, appearing in 35 matches.

OL sees him as a player capable of adding depth to a position already occupied by Nicolas Tagliafico and Abner.

His international experience with Burkina Faso is also an asset highly valued by the Rhone-based club’s staff.

Discussions are reportedly at an advanced stage between the various parties, and the player is said to be close to joining the Rhone-based club to continue his development at a higher level.
