Manchester United Pushed to Sign Rayan Aït-Nouri

Manchester United were keen to secure the signing of Rayan Aït-Nouri during the summer transfer window and made an approach for the Algerian defender.

As the Red Devils were looking to bolster their left-back position, they approached Manchester City in the final hours of the transfer window to discuss a possible transfer of the Algerian international.

The move came in response to a proposal from the player’s agent, who had already sounded out United a few days earlier.

Eager to compete with Luke Shaw, the Manchester club explored the possibility of signing Aït-Nouri after the Lewis Hall deal fell through.

However, negotiations stalled due to the demands of both clubs. Manchester United wanted a permanent transfer, while City preferred a loan deal with an obligation to buy.

Unable to reach an agreement on these terms, the two sides ended the discussions.
