Migori Youth Football Club officially clinched the 2025/26 FKF National Super League (NSL) championship title, earning their historic first-ever automatic promotion to the top-tier Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League.
The South Nyanza-based side sealed their momentous triumph with a 2-1 victory over Equity FC at a packed Awendo Green Stadium, moving them to an unassailable 80 points with one game left in the season.
The team’s ascension to the Premier League coincides with the massive ongoing KSh 700 million upgrade of Migori Stadium.
Handled by Royal Contractors Limited, the project is constructing a modern 10,000-seater facility that meets CAF standards, complete with a professional football pitch, an eight-lane running track, modern changing rooms, and VIP lounges, which will serve as the club’s top-flight home ground.
