Morocco head coach Mohamed Ouahbi has announced a 29-man squad for the upcoming international window, which will see the Atlas Lions face Gabon , Lesotho and Ghana .
The squad will first compete in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, hosting Gabon on September 25 at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat before travelling to Bloemfontein, South Africa, to face Lesotho on September 29.
Morocco will then conclude the international window with a high-profile friendly against Ghana on October 4 at the Grand Stade de Tanger, with kick-off scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
Ouahbi has retained several key members of Morocco’s senior setup, including Yassine Bounou, Achraf Hakimi, Nayef Aguerd, Noussair Mazraoui, Bilal El Khannouss, Azzedine Ounahi, Ismael Saibari, Brahim Diaz, Abde Ezzalzouli and Soufiane Rahimi.
The squad also features several new faces. Alaa Bellaarouch, Abdellah Ouazane, Soufiane El Faouzi, Tawfik Bentayeb and Yasser Zabiri have received their first senior call-ups.
Hakimi has been included despite a CAF suspension that rules him out of Morocco’s two AFCON qualifiers, although he is expected to be available for the friendly against Ghana. Saibari is also suspended for the opening qualifier against Gabon.
