Motsepe Continues Unity Mission with Morocco Visit After Senegal Engagement

Patrice Motsepe, President of the Confederation of African Football, is set to visit Morocco on Thursday as part of ongoing efforts to reinforce unity within African football.

The visit follows his recent trip to Senegal, where Dr Motsepe engaged key stakeholders in the wake of tensions sparked by a recent CAF Appeal Committee ruling. His continued diplomatic approach highlights CAF’s commitment to dialogue and reconciliation among its member associations.

In Morocco, Dr Motsepe will meet Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation. Lekjaa, widely regarded as one of the continent’s leading football administrators, will host discussions alongside CAF leadership focusing on governance, cooperation, and stability within the game.

The back-to-back visits to Senegal and Morocco underline a strategic effort by CAF to ease tensions and restore trust between the two nations, while reinforcing the broader vision of unity across African football.

With tensions still fresh, CAF’s leadership is sending a firm message: collaboration, respect, and unity remain essential pillars for the continued growth and integrity of the sport across the continent.
