Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has etched his name further into Galatasaray’s history, becoming the third-highest-scoring foreign player in the Turkish giants’ history.
Osimhen has now scored 62 goals for Galatasaray, moving into third place on the club’s all-time scoring chart for foreign players.
The Nigerian sits behind two legendary figures: Argentine striker Mauro Icardi, who leads the ranking with 77 goals, and Romanian icon Gheorghe Hagi, who scored 72 goals during his illustrious spell with the club.
Galatasaray’s top foreign scorers:
- Mauro Icardi (ARGENTINA) — 77 goals
- Gheorghe Hagi (ROMANIA) — 72 goals
- Victor Osimhen (NIGERIA) — 62 goals
Osimhen’s tally is particularly notable given the relatively short period he has spent in Istanbul, with his goalscoring exploits quickly establishing him among Galatasaray’s most prolific foreign players.
The Nigeria international will now have his sights set on closing the gap on Hagi and Icardi as he continues to make his mark in Galatasaray colours.
