Abdellah Ouazane etched another remarkable chapter into his budding career, scoring his first senior Eredivisie goal for AFC Ajax in a dramatic 2-2 draw against SC Heerenveen.

The 17-year-old attacking midfielder was selected in the starting lineup and delivered a standout performance, showcasing the technical poise and line-breaking vision that made him one of Africa’s most prized prospects.

In the 7th, Ajax went ahead early when Bernt Klaverboer turned the ball into his own net.
Ouazane’s Moment came when he latched onto a precise pass from Caio Henrique, Ouazane unleashed a strike to double Ajax’s lead and claim his milestone first league goal for the senior team in the 33rd minute.
In the 45th & 82nd minute Heerenveen launched a comeback as the visitors rallied back with strikes from Jacob Trenskow and Maxence Rivera to force a share of the points.

Born in Zaandam, Netherlands, Ouazane chose to represent Morocco internationally, going on to star in the 2025 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations, where he led the Atlas Lions to the continental title and earned Player of the Tournament (Man of the Competition) honors.

Having progressed through De Toekomst academy and made history as the sixth-youngest debutant in Ajax history, his goal against Heerenveen signals a major breakthrough into top-flight European football.
