Patrice Motsepe intensifies AFCON 2027 inspections in Kenya

Patrice Motsepe has arrived in Kenya for the Africa Forward 2026 Summit, a major event focused on the economic and structural development of African football. The visit highlights CAF’s determination to strengthen football infrastructure and promote long-term growth across the continent ahead of several important international competitions.

The CAF president is also expected to meet key local stakeholders involved in the organization of AFCON 2027.

Beyond the summit, preparations for AFCON 2027 remain at the center of Motsepe’s mission in Nairobi. Alongside the local organizing committee, the CAF boss will inspect stadium projects and infrastructure developments to evaluate Kenya’s readiness for the continental tournament.

These inspections are considered crucial as CAF continues to closely monitor the progress made by the East African co-hosts before the next major phase of preparations for AFCON 2027
