Mamadou Sangaré has quickly adapted to Brentford after impressing with RC Lens in Ligue 1. The Malian midfielder has made a strong start in England, helping the Bees climb to fourth place in the Premier League. His debut against Tottenham particularly impressed pundit Jamie Redknapp, who believes Sangaré could play for a top-four club.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the 24-year-old explained that Brentford’s organization and sporting project convinced him to join. Manager Keith Andrews also played a key role by outlining his expectations and style of play.
Despite interest from bigger clubs, Sangaré viewed Brentford as the ideal place to develop. However, consecutive spells on the bench against Chelsea and Aston Villa have challenged him to fight for his place.
Sangaré remains determined to prove his worth and help Brentford maintain their impressive form. “I just need to keep working and do even more than the others,” he said. The midfielder also believes his team can challenge the Premier League’s leading sides. “Why couldn’t we reach the top four, or even the top two?” he asked, expressing confidence in Brentford’s squad and manager.
