Rangers International and Nasarawa United will have to wait until Friday morning to complete their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) encounter after heavy rainfall forced the game to be suspended at the Dan Anyiam Stadium.
The Matchday fixture, played under difficult weather conditions, was stopped in the 63rd minute with the two sides locked at 1-1.
Nasarawa United took the lead in the 39th minute when Sunday Dapman found the back of the net, giving the visitors an early advantage as the game approached halftime.
Rangers responded just two minutes later, with Chidozie Iwundu scoring in the 41st minute to restore parity for the home side.
The score remained 1-1 after the interval, but worsening rainfall and the condition of the playing surface made it impossible for the match to continue safely.
Match officials subsequently called off the encounter after 63 minutes of play.
The remaining portion of the match is scheduled to resume on Friday at 8:30am, with Rangers and Nasarawa United set to return to the Dan Anyiam Stadium to complete the fixture.
The suspension means both teams will have to maintain their focus as they prepare for the restart, with the outcome still finely balanced after an evenly contested opening 63 minutes.
Rangers will be looking to use home advantage to secure the maximum points, while Nasarawa United will hope to preserve their strong position and finish the job when play resumes.
